I’m playing a Squier Vintage Modified Jazz Bass. It’s nothing special. And that’s the point!

You don’t need a fancy instrument to learn bass. If you have a bass already, great! If you don’t have a bass, pick something that is well reviewed, you like looking at, and feels good to you.
